My Story

I didn’t grow up with a roadmap. I grew up in the West End of Long Beach, New York, a place where you learn fast, move faster, and take nothing for granted. Born to teenage parents and out of contact with my father by ten, I started life where most bios wrap up: inside the struggle, not after it. If you wanted structure, you built it. If you wanted identity, you carved it out of the noise.

I was a kid of the ’80s and a rebel of the ’90s. Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, G.I. Joe, Transformers. Then Ren & Stimpy, Carlin, Eddie Murphy. Rhythm, absurdity, timing, and truth became the early architecture of a mind built for story. Baseball gave me discipline. Comics gave me imagination. Books gave me escape. But it was work that gave me power. Restaurants taught me the most important lesson I have ever learned: in this world you have waiters and you have servers. Waiters take orders. Servers create experiences. I chose experience. I learned to read people in seconds, anticipate what they needed before they could articulate it, and deliver something they would remember. That skill never left me.

Music cracked me wide open. Rock and roll, disco, rap, house, techno, trance, jam bands, Phish, Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyk, Prydz, Cristoph, Derrick May. I chased sound from Montreal to Toronto, Mykonos to Ibiza, San Francisco to Austin, Mexico to LA, Boston to Seattle. Limelight was my church. Twilo was home. Behind the turntables I learned that a great storyteller and a great DJ do the same job. They take people somewhere. They bring comfort. They create connection. They build emotional architecture you feel before you understand.

Travel added the rest. Cities, cuisine, sunsets, oceans, strangers who became family, nights that changed the temperature of my perspective. I have been so low you disappear and so high you rethink gravity. I have slept under stars, sailed floating festivals, and looked life in the face when it almost ended. Near-death rearranges your priorities. Gratitude replaces ego. Urgency replaces fear. Service replaces ambition.

Sales became my crucible. Door-to-door first, then Iron Mountain, Paychex, and Insperity. Rookie of the Year. MVP. Top producer. But the awards never mattered. The psychology did. It was never selling. It was storytelling with consequences. It was reading belief, energy, insecurity, desire, and tension. It was human behavior dressed as pipeline.

In 2011 I joined iTechArt, now Vention, and spent a decade turning relationships into revenue and chaos into momentum. Markets shifted. Leadership changed. Life threw divorce, remarriage, and illness into the mix. Every setback became a reset button. Every “no” became leverage. When told to produce or else, I did. When sidelined, I still moved millions. I kept the pipeline alive because reputation compounds longer than commission.

All of that, every table I served, every room I DJ’d, every city I traveled, every deal I closed, and every hit I took and stood back up from, shaped the discipline I built next: helping people tell their story so well the world finally feels it. That is why the GTM business is not a pivot for me. It is the culmination.

I tell stories that give people comfort, clarity, and conviction. I amplify brands by extracting the truth they have forgotten how to say. I build go-to-market systems that translate belief into movement and movement into revenue. I help leaders reclaim their voice, founders rediscover their why, and companies express the experience they are actually trying to create.

Because storytelling is not marketing. It is identity. It is memory. It is persuasion. It is scale. And the best stories do not get manufactured. They get translated from a truth most people are too close to see.

I have spent twenty years living enough life to understand yours in five minutes. I do not write fiction. I articulate what is real. And if I do my job right, you will not just have a story. You will have a narrative that moves markets.

I am Jesse Landry. Built through adversity, driven by curiosity, defined by execution. A storyteller by nature, a brand amplifier by instinct, and a GTM strategist by lived experience. If you are here, it is because you are ready to make the world feel your story, and I am the one who can help you tell it.
